What would your tomorrow look like if you only had the things you were thankful for today?
I ask myself that and it never fails to remind me of what I really need(ed). In 2010 lost my job, 2012 my mum, 2014 my dog, and my job....dignity not too far behind. I guess I have to be more specific when praying and meditating because I am manifesting a lot of things that are not what I want. I wanted a companion, and the Meetup group I joined was quite sinister. I don't know if there's something about me or maybe I am hypersensitive but I don't like groups that think it's okay to gossip. It's like a pod of cows sitting about giving people the piss. How is that a social for singles? Maybe that's what people are doing being that it's hard for a pimp.
I decided to add vision board to the list of things to help me get back into me. I never knew how difficult being an adult and making friends would be.
I did have an epiphany though. You know those videos you see online and aside from the ones that are viral, that have a lot of views. It's because of perverts. I was looking at a playlist of a particular vlogger and her highest viewed video was her get unready with me/night time routine. Who needs to know how to wash, brush and go to bed? Well, apparently the tags make h*rny individuals come to fetch a shower scene. I seriously think social media has destroyed my belief in mankind.

It feels so good to be back on track with my little blog.  I never knew how good it felt to get things from one's head  to the cosmos.  I don't know why I didn't keep up with this when I first started a year back.  I noticed when I do keep up with posting, I become more creative.  This particular outfit was inspired by my a video I had watched from Juicy Tuesday.  I  don't know why I keep getting sucked in to YouTube.  I have a love/hate/love/hate relationship.  It's a huge way to waste my time.  I learn some tricks, but I think it's me just being nosey.  Regardless, I seem to feel something whenever I watch them albeit anger at myself, the "guru", or the comments.  At times just the idea of watching people so absorbed with themselves leaves me feeling filthy.  I mean, I'm watching someone get ready to go out, I swear I'm not a peeping Tom.  Maybe a Billy NoMates, but I am blown away by how much time and effort it takes to make videos.  Shane Dawson is really epic.  I am guaranteed to get the laugh when his character Shanaynay makes an appearance.  I digress.  I was watching Juicy Tuesday and she had mentioned people had slagged her weight for posting her outfit of the days.  I love those tutorials the best!  I think I've sorted out how to (insert icon, celebrity, cat eye, smokey eye, red lips, flawless face) looks for several lifetimes.  But, my wardrobe could use a bit of help and I am not short on clothes, but short on ideas, so these how to nails, hair, shoes, purse, videos are really the business for me.  Teresa *aka Juicy Tuesday* has a womanly figure.  She has that hourglass and whilst I'm no where near as lovely or gifted, I quite like having curves and seeing other women who have arses as well.
I got this skirt from F21 for $14.80 USD!  It was on clearance and I initially thought it was a blouse.  I liked the corset in the front and thought it would look great with a pair of jeans to go to a sporting event that has still yet to happen :/  Well, I was looking for something one day and this was in a pile with the tag on it so, I was curious to see if it would fit or go with the "recycle" stack.  I noticed the tag read skirt and got quite nervous.  I know my hips have grown, but ah well...I put it on with the corset design in the front and it had a tag (medium) so, I turned it and fell in love.  Sort of...the corset is the cutest detailing; however, it does scream "look at me" in the lower region.  The place where I carry my weight most.  So this was the look

I paired it with my trusty Mary Janes, black opaque ribbed tights, and a shirt I bought at the Crossroads.  It's less than $20, total, but I neglected to accessorize appropriately.  Odds are my jewels are in my coat but I was too lazy to put them on.

Gone Solange....
Yes! Bey's baby sis is sending a message and it's all about her independence. Weeks ago tabloids, blogs and boards were all abuzz about well, Solo's buzz. She did the big chop (BC) and though some didn't think she would last against the pressures of the entertainment industry's love of long locks and Solo would resort to a lace front wig or other alternative to "fit in."
I applaud her for standing her ground as she did on her Twitter account and declared her love of her new look and to heck with what anyone else thinks.
To be honest, I quite like it. I don't think it suits her to have a big mane with such a beautiful, angel face. It really isn't fair to compare her to her big sister, they are sisters not Siamese twins and Solange has her own style, career and goals she wants to reach. Too often we are quick to compare family members (the Kardashians, the Spears, the Lohans, the Hiltons) when we are all individual and other then genetics we don't have to walk in another's shadow just because we share a name.

The women were in town promoting the new line of bags from Samantha Thavasa when an earthquake of 6.6 magnitude shook. The ladies were not injured, but talk about being shook up, no pun intended, that's got to make you want to bounce, real quick. I really wish the media would not have focused so much on Bey. Solange was with her for the launch and I really think she looks lovely with this short do, and bold pink lippie. What say you? Are you feeling this new look? Is there something you have been wanting to try but your fears and naysayers have taken a bite?

Beautiful,
How can this week compare to that of the previous? Well, it can't so, we make the best of each day. After reflecting on the previous week's impact across the world, I present you with a challenge. "Who would you be, if you believed you could not fail?" I want you to really think of that. Don't let the strong holds of external programming get in the way, this is a question that will help you to become that person. To reach new heights, and strive to remember that, you can do it. If my neice can smile and say to me, "I can tell my children they can be whoever they want in life." I think you can do the same.
In keeping with our beauty tradition, I have always believed that I could never do makeup full time. I was told that I was too smart to waste my time doing makeup and that it was a "nice hobby" but there was more in life I should aspire to be. Of course, my parents were going to instill the need for formal education and all the sheepskin (degrees) I could get. They could not afford college and it was not something their parents had instilled in them to become. Well, I have the education, but fashion is my passion. For now it is something I do for recreation; however, I do hope to use my skills to benefit others. I am busy writing a business plan. There is power in writing and there isn't anything I can't do with the help of God and others. I challenge you to feel the same. Whether it's in beauty, finance, childcare or whatever, find out where you can contribute something no one else has to offer and do it.
Warmly,

BP
