Hello my beautiful friends,
I saw this last night, and it's probably going to cause me some angst among my Christian friends, but I love the paradox. I love this video because it means more than an "eye opener" to those of us who have a right to marry; but, the unity of people, race, gender, sexual preference and location aside, these lot were able to come together as one to share a message about discrimination.
Not to be preachy, but we really don't understand discrimination until it's in our face, we take so many things for granted and when anyone is denied a right, we all are. Whatever your position on gay marriage, try to fathom loving someone so much and not being able to declare your love and commitment because of laws. If we all stayed narrow in our minds, I would still be riding in the back of the bus and using facilities marked "colored." It wasn't just blacks who fought for the civil rights I enjoy, it should not be just gay and lesbians fighting for equality now.

Stay beautiful

Sort of....
Hello my beautiful friends, I have not used my Engaging mineralized eyeshadow from a prior MAC collection. I'm not sure that it isn't permanent however, this is my review.

The good:
The texture wasn't as gritty as I expected from a MES. I usually have fallout to no end and look a hot mess, especially for summertime and the heat. I don't embrace the look of having a fairy explode on the face but this was quite nice. I am getting used to having my photo taken so mind my expression of depression, the light was harsh as you can see a shadow :)
The bad:
Although the shimmer was not fallout heaven, I think one should really save this for evenings as it's still summer (come on autumn) and the shimmer can be a bit overpowering during the daytime, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the product.
The verdict:
Overall, I am pleased with this purchase. The good thing about neutrals in a mineralized eyeshadow is you can also use them as a rouge, highlight, contour or bronzer...just not all at once :)

Hello Beautiful,
Today is my first day of the rest of my blog. I have changed the name and format to bring about a new birth.
The old style was good and sufficient, but I'm working toward something aimed to cover all areas of beauty. I realize a lot of us are constantly working at our physical (phenotype) appearance and while that is fabulous, I'd like to venture into making us beautiful people as a whole.
What good is our external if we don't accept ourselves internally?
I will still bring all I can about what's in, what's out, as well as the latest makeup collections, fashion trends and beauty tips and tricks, not to mention my lastest obsession nail varnish.
I plan to incorporate more articles dedicated to motivating you all to become the women and men God created you to be. You are a blessing, and I need you to know that even when you don't feel it. I know I struggle from time to time, so today we are going to commit to working together and encouraging each other to live life to the fullest and look good in the process.
Whether we get a product we have been dying to try and find out it's pants (rubbish) or we want to look better naked, this is the place, so grab a cup of coffee, a notepad, and let's get cracking on our Beauty Thesis!

A New Beginning
