I must live under a rock, because many of the "household names"  out there aren't familiar to me.  Enter "Kat Stacks Bitch!"  I heard that and thought it was a spoof of Rick James or something.  Unfortunately, the title is one of the blonde on the left photo courtesy of Google.  I am admittedly gobsmacked.  I don't have a heaven or hell to put anyone in, so I don't judge.  Well, this girl has some serious game.  I don't hate, envy or feel insecure about myself because of her.  She makes me think about things I try to forget.  You know the "one" girl/woman your man is curious about, then he gets sucked in and he gets caught?  She's that girl.  I cannot wrap my head around this soap opera.  She's not fake, what you see is what you get, and then some, but men.continue.to.fall... They fall hard.  If it wasn't enough to know about her previous scandals with well known artists, they keep calling, texting, tweeting her knowing, the minute they slip, which they will, her wrath will have them and possibly their career by the balls.  That cell phone in her hand?  It's worth millions!  If it could talk? That's fine, she speaks for it.  Why do men do that to themselves?  What is it with people that the worse something is for you, the more they have to have it? Even as she was blasting Soulja, she was being hit up by other men and their wives!  Really?  Did you not see this?  Seriously, I felt violated watching it, and I don't even know who this guy is.  Why do men do that?  *shrugs* I cannot understand it, but I guess Adam "it was that woman!" ran it first.
I'm sad about it.  This girl doesn't have to look for men, they come to her.  From a female standpoint, I should be scared to death of women like her.  There are some lines I cannot cross in the bedroom.  I.just.can't.  But, judging by this interview for her it's not personal, it simply is.  She has learnt that men cannot be trusted, and doesn't see them as lovers, rather conquests.  This girl is everything I'm not.  I don't curse, look, party or play like her.  Does this mean my partner will, in the back of his mind, have some fantasy she can fulfill?  Sure, don't trip on her.  Well I didn't want to but I read about this woman who intentionally failed to tell men she had sex with she is HIV positive.  One of my biggest fears, is having that disease because my partner cheated and BOOM!
I don't care how her life plays out, she's grown and she lives with herself and her choices and accepts the price.  What worries me, is that there are so, so SO many young girls who want to be like her?  This girl was stripping at age 15 to survive! Why would anyone want that for themselves?  They have so much ahead of them and to have to live that sort of life is sad.  But it's not just the music industry, this happens everywhere.  For example, whilst perusing comments on social networking sites, if I had a pound for every girl who wrote, "XXX, you are my idol, I want to be like you, you inspire me," I'd never live long enough to spend it all and I can spend money without leaving the bed.
It makes me wonder what's happening with kids and their parents.  Maybe we are just like other generations, but this is the one I'm in so, I need to up my game and bring solutions and not problems. Or, maybe it's just life.  People get sucked into things until they figure out on their own, those things are not what they appear and people aren't who they seem.
xoxo

If someone had told me I'd be living and working in California a few years back, I would have called them a "fat liar!" Well...here I am.  Not a day goes by when I don't wonder "How the hell did this happen?" or better yet, "How the hell do I get out of here?!"  I'm a very thankful and blessed person.  I have a job, a dog I love, a warm flat, etc.  I don't seem to be able to fit in here.  It's not that I don't try, my personality just doesn't work here.  I have joined social groups, churches, volunteer, attend classes, hang out in libraries, bookstores, and can't say how often I am about shopping.
California is very nice.  Where else do you find people in shorts, sandals and shades whilst Christmas shopping?  It's very common to see high profile people and they are just about doing their thing.  I used to think it would be nice to be around celebrities, but here, everyone believes they are one.  I dunno...
This day, I was leaving work and walking to the train.  I like to take the late one in the afternoon because there is a man who looks like Adrien Brody on it and I like to stare at his profile.  In the morning there's a chap who looks like a young George Clooney.  I never make eye contact with most men, I don't want them to mistake me for a "fan" but I do want to take their photo so I can show how much they resemble these stars.
Well, this day there was an event at the California Museum of Art. You have to love transit for being near all the hot spots.  It looks lovely having transients asking people who wipe their bums with Benjamins for spare  change.  Or, the homeless person(s) wearing their blanket and carrying their sign in the shot of the news reporter.  When I stumble upon news persons, I always look pissed.  That way they don't ask you any questions.  Who wants to give their opinion about Tiger Woods, the President or any other fodder for all their coworkers, friends and associates to see?  Sure there are loads, but that's not me.  I'm too vain to be caught unversed on a subject or looking a hot mess in front of a camera.  No way, since I still can't find a foundation that my skin doesn't absorb by noon.
I've been practicing taking photos since I am such a novice.  I really loathe just having my mug all over as it seems vain and self absorbed.  I now have an addiction to cameras.  Why can't I have a cheap addiction like...dunno collecting buttons or matches...
So it appears one of the recipients was Harvey Milk.  I wondered why there were signs about Milk being a pervert.  Most times milk is similar to vanilla.  It's pure, boring, or plain, but never perverse.  What's a typical day for you?  Where do you live?  Do you like it?  I am looking to leave, but dunno where to go :(
xoxo

(who's holding a press conference? or, which building is having a stand off?)

(Milk was a pervert?  ah..protests...)

(don't you love how tacky the "red carpet" is?)

Cheryl Cole has landed a new gig working as a spokesperson for L'Oreal UK and her first product? Elvive Full Restore 5, and sales should be a hit because the girl has an amazing mane on her, not to mention how beautiful she is.

I'm not the type to hate on a girl who's got it going on for herself, h*ll sign me up for your next "How to seminar..." She has a gorgeous husband, she's young, and it all started when she auditioned for Pop stars: The Rivals, and became one of the Girls Aloud who are quite big across the pond. (May have changed since I came to the USA) She is also one of the judges on the X factor, a show quite similar to American Idol here in North America. What's more, she has, along with band mates, launched their own line of false lashes.

I love her smile, those dimples just make her so sweet looking. She could be the world's biggest b*tch and she could smile and make you forget she just cut your throat. Ah well, not all of us are supposed to be blessed with a footballer husband, singing career, panelist, spokes model, etc. I am sort of glad she beat out Megan Fox as the world's sexiest according to FHM magazine.

In other news, Amber Rose hasn't met a camera she doesn't like has she. She hosted a party at Tao in Las Vegas, and though all eyes may have been on her, what's up with her eyes? Come on Amber, you are built like a sh*t brick house, you have such a slammin body it doesn't matter that your boyfriends hair is longer than yours, nor that you color it blue, green, pink or whatever you feel, but must you take what you have been blessed with and sod it to h*ll? Seriously, I guess when you have it like that, it's easy to forget how hard she does NOT have to work to look good. I do admit I like the lipstick. It reminds me of Gladiola (Dame Edna) or Girl About Town from MAC.

To add insult to injury, the video dancer turned fashion model has secured a deal with Ford models. Wow! Not that she isn't pretty, but I recall a time when you couldn't get an appt. with Ford unless you were a five foot ten inch tall 108 lb 14 year old girl who was "discovered" in an orphanage whilst doing dishes. The pear shapes were not something Ford was looking to showcase on any runways. Go Amber! Is anyone else impressed with how no matter how bizarre, skimpy or nude she is, she looks good in pictures? I guess I'm odd in that, jet setting and partying as much as she and Mr. West seem to do would have me looking a hot mess and the only photos of me online would be under the caption: What not to Wear!

Hello Beautiful Ones,
In my attempt to fall asleep, I was thinking about how it must feel to be Lauren Luke. I cannot fathom going from quitting my job and selling makeup on eBay. Using YouTube to demonstrate how to use my products, to having my own cosmetic line in New York City launch at Sephora. I'm barely allowed in Sephora let alone have my name in Times Square and have countless of interviews on national and international telly.
It's a bittersweet thought. On one hand, success breeds contempt and you go from "doing you," to having an enormous amount of people critiquing everything about you. I personally think it's a bit of jealousy. A "How come she gets...?" reaction, which, though juvenile, is normal. She's not doing anything others haven't done or been doing, it was "her time" if you will. We all have a purpose and a calling. The other hand, she has a lot of weight on her shoulders. Going from campy tutorials in your room to being on television, working with bonafide makeup artists can be a bit intimidating. The pool of cosmetic lines is a bit more like and ocean and not all survive, Sephora has bumped a lot of product lines in the last year for whatever the business reasons.
I then saw my girl Susan Boyle in Harper's Bazaar featured article. She looks amazing doesn't she? She has been through hell and back and yet she still stands, lovely, and humble and singing like a lovely bird to a cherub. Like the artist Gabriel song "Dreams Can Come True" is right, we have to get cracking on our purpose.
Susan is proof that one is never too old, and I wish more people embraced that part of her story rather than focusing on her appearance or personal life. We don't have a right to people's personals just because they are in the papers do we?
Well, I must get to work on finding my purpose. What's your purpose and how did you find it? Care to share? I need help!
Hello my beautiful friends,
I saw this last night, and it's probably going to cause me some angst among my Christian friends, but I love the paradox. I love this video because it means more than an "eye opener" to those of us who have a right to marry; but, the unity of people, race, gender, sexual preference and location aside, these lot were able to come together as one to share a message about discrimination.
Not to be preachy, but we really don't understand discrimination until it's in our face, we take so many things for granted and when anyone is denied a right, we all are. Whatever your position on gay marriage, try to fathom loving someone so much and not being able to declare your love and commitment because of laws. If we all stayed narrow in our minds, I would still be riding in the back of the bus and using facilities marked "colored." It wasn't just blacks who fought for the civil rights I enjoy, it should not be just gay and lesbians fighting for equality now.

Stay beautiful

I have never been one to comprehend mean spirited people. Even as a child, I never understood when kids would pick on other kids. When the kid was me, I felt it was because of the usual. Black, chubby, female, dumb, new kid, and so on.
What I am learning as an adult is that those people truly never grew up. The names and faces are different but the behavior is the same.
This is a topic I really thought I would never address. I think people use the term "hater" far too often. I get that not everyone will like what I say, how I look or how I dress. I see the stares, the rolled eyes and it really doesn't affect the way I choose to dress. What I don't understand is when people take it to a graduated level. I'm talking the level of trying to get you fired, starting rumours about you or your family and even spreading lies. That can only be called hate, I can't think of any reason a person would go for the jugular of another, especially if they don't know them.
I visit a few forums to get ideas on clothing, style, beauty et al. I like to research and sometimes interact with other members. What I don't understand is when a member gets an attitude towards another member on a forum. Most times I find it funny. I actually like some of the more aggressive boards because those people can cut you with their tongue and not miss a beat. In addition, there are some quite intelligent people who post and it's quite refreshing to learn something new each day.
I even have to look within myself at times, as there is a woman, much older than me, married with a son and she goes out of her way to make me and others try to feel small. Why? I can honestly say she lives a sheltered life. Her husband works which allows her to be online all day (another topic for another post). She thinks her husband is the sun and moon and will not hesitate for a moment to express her opinion about anything and everything.
Now, I could blast her @ss and it would be an enormous weight off my shoulders. I know I would have her in tears not to mention rethinking some of the decisions she makes in her life. The point is, I don't. I don't say a word. She responded to me in a post, and I gave her a pass. I could have made her look small, pathetic, and uneducated not to mention give her a reason to not trust her younger husband, but I shook it off. That's what people need to learn to do with "haters." You must shake them off. Giving power to people who have no impact on your day to day life is a waste of energy. If they are people you must have contact with, keep it brief and keep it moving. Your hater(s) will begrudge you and begin the next level of attack but raise your security level and be prepared for the disaster. In time, he/she will get bored and move on to the next victim. But you have to let them go. Trust me, they will try to provoke, stir and wreak havoc on you, but do not let them steal your joy.
You answer to one person and you have to live with yourself, what happens to us and around us we have no control over, but what we do about it is our responsibility. Let them hate, but just do you. In time, you will feel pity on them. While they're busy plotting, you're busy living.

Roaring along

Hmm....
I have had great success in getting rid of the makeup I purchased which has never been used. The duplicates were embarassing. I didn't blog about it but I was a bit down. I know one should blog for themselves; however, I wanted to help others. I can journal to get my own thoughts. BUT, what bothered me was I did RAOKs to people who don't follow this blog because I got zero responses from the half dozen or so followers. Somehow I thought at least one person would respond, and I would send them some of the makeup and hair products I haven't used.
Instead, I sent some to ladies on a forum about hair, and I could have gotten $300 or more on eBay; however, I sent it to random posters. Sadly, I don't know if they received the items or not. I don't want a thank you, I guess I hate not knowing if they received their gifts and if they, in fact, like them. It's been over a week, and nothing.
Incidently, I could not figure out why my bank account wasn't showing the money I earned from eBay via PayPal. I logged onto my account there and I guess the money sits there until you transfer it, so I did. $483.00 in a week for stuff I have siting around. I don't know what is wrong with me, but I haven't spent any of the money on anything and I don't feel motivated to. The country is in an economic crisis and I have money I don't want to spend. In addition, it's a Saturday and I've only been out with my dog and that is it.
I guess I think this blog may close, and I may simply begin a different journey. I don't want my blog to be for my benefit, it's to help others; however, if I'm not doing that, it serves me to establish another form of giving. In the items I sent out the past two days, I threw in full size product extras and that felt really good. I hope it makes them smile, I also added a thank you note.
When I took the dog out to potty we walked down to the post and there was a check for me from the state of California. I will add that to my RAOK account and maybe I can establish a fund for some organization I believe in.
I guess I need to learn not to take rejection personally. Life always has a plus though, I have 100% feedback as a seller on eBay so those items can go to a good home, but I am embarassed by the amount I still have. What was I thinking? Seriously, I have enough pigments to fill a land mine and these:

I have never even used other than to swatch because I'm trying to use up the shadesticks I have. Well, eBay and MakeupAlley here I come :)

Vampires?
Yes, cherubs, more and more felines are falling in love with the immortal blood suckers themselves.
No one claimed the prizes I had posted for this blog, so I made some RAOKs from a forum. In order to send out the items, hair products, makeup, fragrances and skin cream, I had to get some boxes. The weather has been HOT, hot like you want to lock yourself in a freezer and thaw out in October hot. So, I journeyed to two local drugstores to get mailing materials.
I have sworn off buying anything that is not an absolute fundamental necessity so I looked at books. I love to read; however, there aren't many books that interest me. I tried to read Twilight, and I finished it but that was only because I rented the movie and wanted to see what all the hype was about. I'm glad I did because the thing was hysterical! I know it wasn't meant for, but I could not stop laughing because Robert Pattinson *Edward* was so funny.
Bella: "Put on your seat belt"
Edward: rolls his eyes and smirks "You put on your seat belt" shakes his head
How could people take that movie serious. What the heck is a "spider monkey?"
Much to my chagrin, with the exception of silly romance, spirituality and cookbooks, the rest were vampire novels. I was hard pressed to find anything other than a half dozen political books and a few dramas. So, I left sans reading material and bought craft items instead.
What I don't understand is why "Moonlight" was discontinued from the airwaves. Here you had a somewhat good looking tomcat who worked as a private investigator but was really a vampire. Why did that series get cancelled? I can't understand being that so many people seem to have an obsession with vampire love stories.
This series was Edward and Bella as adults and had a good time slot in my area. It followed Ghost Whisperer. It was better than Dollhouse.
Here's to Mick St. John and his obsession with a mortal. I think he was a "vegan" vampire as well.

Hi Cherubs,

I know the past 24 hours have been a lot for many of you to digest. So many deaths of people we admired. I was reflecting on how I cope with death and it really surprised me. I found I don't like to acknowledge it. For example, I was at work when heard about the passing of both Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. The first time, I let it marinate in my brain before I did some research about her. I had heard she had cancer, and I was curious about where she had it and for how long. I convinced myself she was finally out of pain. I did the same with Ed McMahon, I told myself he had lived a long life and had struggled with some unfortunate situations due to his alleged drinking.

Then I got the news about Michael Jackson, and I put my headphones on and busied myself with a to do list, and so on. I got on the train, and poured myself into my book and told my girlfriend to not watch the news and made small talk about her recent engagement to a really lovely gentleman. Once I was alone, I began to do everything I could to avoid radio, television and people I knew would be talking about the news of the day. Death.

I rang my father and he was his usual self absorbed jerk, and it made me sad. Rather than he and I finally communicate about my mother's terminal illness, my past health issues, he wanted me to do him a favor I could not do so he hung up on me. Instead of feeling sad, I went shopping. I didn't want to "feel" sad. I hate (yes, I know it's strong) feeling anything uncomfortable such as: sadness, depression, anger, insecure, etc. So, I walked around aimlessly until my feet were too sore to persist.

I got home and played with my dog, and did what I always do, I turned to eating, cleaning, reading, experimenting with makeup, all kinds of busyness. I guess I've said all of this to say, I don't cope with death. I don't. I like to ignore anything that deals with it and I know part of it is natural. The other part is, I think of the families and the enormous amount of grief they must be feeling and there is nothing I, or anyone else can do to make things better. As a makeup artist, you are constantly taking something and improving it. The feeling of making someone smile is like a drug it's so contagious. But, when someone dies, you can't "fix" it with a product, technique or trick. You just have to let them feel. I also don't like to see anyone cry. It really gets to me, and I've seen loads of people cry sad cries but it never gets easier.

Death forces you to think about how you're living as well. What will I be remembered for? Will anyone miss me? What impact will I have left, if any, on the world I leave behind. What is my legacy? Ed McMahon, television host, and the phrase, "Heeeere's Johnny!" Farrah had a role as the original Charlie's Angel, and a megawatt smile. Farrah was what Pamela Anderson was emulating in Baywatch. Michael's music has touched the world as well as his dance moves and subsequent unfortunate headlines.

What's your legacy?

Hello Gorgeous,
We raise our paws to our friends in the United Kingdom today. They have Topshop, Selfridges and the most gorgeous bangers and mash, but they also have.

Gosh cosmetics!
My favorites from this brand=eyeliner. I have seen swatches on other blogs and salivate at the notion of using this creamy, smudgeproof excellence on my waterline, as a shadow base and more.
We also love

Why can't we have a Barry M counter in the USA? Well, we don't and if you're like me, you are desperate enough to find swatches, cross your fingers, pay the shipping, have patience with customs and hope your order is to your liking. Well done Barry M.
We also can't get

Sleek!! What? Yes, we want Sleek here in the USA. Have you seen the Acid palette? I encourage you to watch Pixiwoo, she's not just beautiful, not just smart, not just a makeup artist, but she's informative, knowledgeable and has a CV that I would love to follow. Sleek isn't even interested in applications for distributors in the US. We still <3 you!
The holy grail of all reasons we envy our British brothers and sisters *church bells*

Illamasqua, life is not fair!!! I always knew this, but this line has driven it home like A-Rod on the mound. Illamasqua knocked the makeup industry out of the bl**dy ball park when they developed this line. Matte eyeshadows that apply like butter. Yes! A dream come true, as my dark skin looked ashy on most mattes, and I found them to be chalky.
So, that is why we love the UK and with that, God save the Queen kittens,

Hello Cherubs,

Today many of you, like me, heard about the recent rants from the lovely Susan Boyle. It appears celebrity is having its downside and now Susan is taking the piss in tabloids for outbursts due to her rise in publicity.
Are we really going to hold this woman's feet to the fire for having public outbursts? A few months ago we couldn't get enough of Octo mom and scrutinizing her every step, Jon and Kate was our latest and now we want to chastise Ms. Boyle for reaching her breaking point?
Before "Britain's Got Talent" no one heard from this lass from Scotland and the only reason people cared about her was due to her incredible voice. What's more, the fact that an everyday looking fourty eight year old woman could sing like the most beautiful cherub is the politically incorrect reason she shot to fame.
How dare a woman over forty, not a size two who could care less about looking like the woman on the cover of a lad rag, sing as brilliant as she does! She should be dieting to no end, injecting her body with Botox and working on those brows and that mane of hers. Has she not seen Lauren Luke on Youtube? For crying out loud, how dare an average woman have any sort of talent other than working as a low to middle income employee at a dead end job living in obscurity.
Instead of learning our lesson about judging a book by its cover, we now want to exploit the contents of the book for not "handling her overnight success like a lady." For f*cks sake, can you imagine going from being invisible to living in a fishbowl? Having the media follow you every where you go, looking into your past, scrutinizing your style and querying your next door neighbors about your personal business might get old after awhile.
What I find so infuriating is, if the story is true, these people set about to get on her wick in the first place. One can only endure so much provocation. Before we all get on our high horses, we may want to pony up and admit, we would be hard pressed to admit we could handle the stress of celebrity without dropping a few f-bombs. In the words of Chris Crocker, "Leave Susan Alone!"

Hey Felines,
I know I am not the only one who finds Halle Berry to be ridiculously beautiful. What's more, she has defied Hollywood by proving one does not lose her sex appeal after her 21st birthday.
Halle was recently spotted with long time lover Gabriel Aubrey and baby girl Nahla, sporting her trademark short, yet truly chic pixie. I find it refreshing to see her out and about enjoying the sun with her family. She proves that women can have it all after they turn 40. I really wish Hollywood would let go of the non-knicker wearing, boozed up, late night party going, plastic surgery overloaded celebs and show more celebrities who are living their lives. I reckon that wouldn't sell their publications.
I think I've gotten to the point where, I'm tired of seeing celebrities either airbrushed, claiming they haven't had any cosmetic alterations *cough,Nicole Kidman, cough* looking perfect on covers of magazines or lad rags and photos of Paris, Lindsay, Britney, Mary-Kate, et al. out partying every night at a different venue only to appear on Dr. Phil or Oprah, wanting sympathy for their addiction and to sell their story of how fame nearly destroyed them. In these tough economic times, it's really difficult for me to feel sorry for someone who blows what I make in a year on a night out on the town. It's terrible to judge but that's how I feel.
In looking at some of Halle's styles, I think the short hair suits her best, as it accentuate her bone structure perfectly. What do you think?

Hey Lovely Felines,

Hope you all are purrfect :) I am having a bit of fun with today's blog. I have yet to see the movie Twilight, nor have I read the book. I have seen the actor, aka The Lion (we felines love them) and he's...I can see what the attraction would be, so I have to confess. The Black Panther is really loving Mr. "I'm Chuck Bass" and last night after indulging in one of my guilty not taken serious show, Gossip Girls, I found that Chuck, or Ed Westick reminds me of a human version of Edward Cullen, or Robert Pattison. Maybe it's just me, but there's something between the two that remind me of one another aside from them being, young, white, English and fun to look at. So, what does the Panther do? Like all felines, I prowl (research) and find that they may be bff's in real life

Can we meow, purr or just blippin say, "Awww..." Who knew that these two might actually be friends. Doesn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy?

Meow for now!

Hello Gorgeous,
I have been coveting bases and later, I'll go on a rant about something in the beauty industry; however, I found that my ULTA does NOT carry "Sin" but Sephora has it in stock for everyone. I was sent an exclusive invite last month for an offer to purchase as an Insider Exclusive but passed. Why would I pay shipping to try something I don't "need" for something I can get at the department store in a few weeks? Go figure that one. Another thing I don't get is how saturated we consumer's are with the need for that "one" item that will "fix" everything.
For instance, I'm going on a very low buy. If I say "no buy" my brain goes into "hoard" mentality and I buy more than I can use in several life times, so I am telling myself everything I tell you. I'm shopping my current stash, challenging myself to dupe a color and save the money, etc.
I have found the root of many problems and think I have it solved. You know I love blogs, forums, and YouTube for makeup knowledge, skill and inspiration. Lately, even though I have posted some videos, I have been very down on myself. I want women of color, dark skinned panthers, brown skinned cougars or leopards et al to see what makeup looks we can "rock." Since I have access and discounts to many brands, I want to try them and give you all an idea as to whether the product is a hit or miss or you make the call. I find that most of the popular "gurus" are not of color. That is why I love Ateyaaa so much but she takes a lot of hits for posting her information and it's mostly by the African American community? I cannot even begin to speak to this, as it really gets on my wick that people will knowingly slag someone online. I know what it's like to be bullied but to have your own peeps slagging you and other ethnicities appreciating you, something isn't right with that. Why are people so, well I know why, but it's sad. What's more, why do people put others on pedestals anyway? I am surprised at the "fans" or "Stans" out there. "Do people really think they can start a romance by leaving a marriage proposal for someone?" Better yet, "How often do women need to tell a man they have dreams or lust for someone on their comments?" In addition, the "follow me on twitter..." and then their marked "private"? Well, I am not one to "ask" for permission to communicate with you so you can grant or deny me, is not going to happen. Unless you are sleeping with me, in my inner circle or something of that nature, what about you can be so "secret." Do people really think they are that important?
Thank you all for allowing me to express my randomness!

Hello Felines!
I am hoping all of you lovelies had a wonderful Christmas. I am so sorry for my absence. I had quite the calm holiday, and should have blogged; however, I believe many people were spending time with their families. This year it was very quiet, I saw my parents and have a feeling this will be the last year I have both parents, so I made the trip to their house. Naturally, my father did not put a tree up. In his defense it would have been more trouble being my mother would have gotten into it as her condition is so rampant.
Nevertheless, I spent almost all of my time off surfing the internet trying to find tutorials online. I took pictures, but now I need the USB cable and I purchased a software package for videos only to find out I have movie maker. So between the Sony Vega and Windows Movie Maker, I have been watching tutorials on how to make videos.
I found it funny of the myriad of people I inquired about cameras, editing, etc. a kind person replied by telling me to get a "Canon HD camara." Of course I Googled that phrase with the correct spelling and gave me information overload as it does not indicate enough specifications.
I took solace in watching a random act of kindness on Youtube. A woman was promoting another gent and he said something that was so true, we have become so antisocial with our modern technology that we forget how to be human. He also mentioned that people don't want to help others as they feel it is revealing some "secret." He was spot on to how I feel I subscribed to him and found he was one of the most knowledgeable people who has remained so humble with his profession.
For now, what random acts of kindness do you practice?
